Blue Marine is seeking a talented Fiscal Planning Analyst to join its finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the company’s fiscal strategy, ensuring compliance with Mexican tax regulations while identifying opportunities for financial optimization and efficiency. This position requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of fiscal legislation in the energy and oil & gas sectors.

Job Details:

  • Support the fiscal planning process by preparing detailed tax reports, forecasts, and analyses for corporate decision-making.

  • Ensure compliance with national and local tax obligations, including income tax, VAT, withholding, and special contributions related to the oil and gas industry.

  • Monitor and interpret changes in fiscal regulations, assessing their impact on company operations and financial results.

  • Develop projections and simulations to anticipate the tax impact of new business activities and investments.

  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, and external auditors to ensure accuracy and transparency in tax documentation.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining transfer pricing documentation and compliance reports in line with legal requirements.

  • Prepare technical documentation to support tax audits and respond to inquiries from authorities.

  • Participate in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual fiscal closings.

  • Identify fiscal risks and propose mitigation strategies to reduce financial exposure.


  • Support management in defining and implementing fiscal optimization strategies that align with corporate objectives.

  • Conduct variance analysis between projected and actual tax expenses to identify key deviations.

  • Maintain updated tax databases and ensure data integrity in financial systems.

  • Work closely with the internal legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to corporate policies and local regulations.

  • Participate in digitalization projects within the finance department, helping automate fiscal processes.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial efficiency and internal control mechanisms.

  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all fiscal obligations, avoiding penalties or legal non-compliance.

  • Support intercompany reconciliation processes and ensure consistency across business units.

  • Collaborate in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management and auditors.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization across the fiscal department.

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and ensure compliance with corporate data policies.

  • Required education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.

  • Professional certifications in taxation or fiscal law are highly desirable.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in tax analysis, planning, or compliance, preferably within the oil & gas or energy industry.

  • Strong technical skills in Excel, SAP, and fiscal management systems.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Spanish fluency required; English proficiency is considered an advantage.
